A side-by-side comparision of the old 1966 Shelby GT350H Mustang, and forty years later the 2006 GT-H is released in a similar style.
Shelby has confirmed that it will be officially building 500 GT-H models for Hertz. All will feature the original 1966 color scheme with black paint, and gold stripes. Of course it would not be a Shelby without some additional power. The added power comes from the popular Ford Power Pack for the GT's 4.6L V8 engine. Some other upgrades include a full cat-back exhaust with X-pipe, 90MM cold air intake, and a performance tune. A new 5-speed high-performance automatic transmission will be added, which will boost the torque an additional 10 ft/lbs
As for its differences in appearance, the Shelby GT-H has added a brushed aluminum grille, new front fascia, lower grille, body scoops similar to those on the original GT350H, and painted brake calipers. Plus Ford/Shelby decided to add an additional performance package to the GT-H with Ford Racing's FR3 Handling pack, which inlcludes: lowering springs, a strut tower brace, tuned dampers and sway bars. This should help put the power to the ground, as well as make the GT-H a corner-carver. |
